Not a whole lot to report this week, but I did want to give a quick update! We are working hard to get our preliminary dossier paperwork ready to go, so we can get it notarized and then take a trip to Salem to have it apostilled. Our goal is that we'll be sending that to our agency the first week of May. (Originally we'd hoped for May 1st, but have a few other things going on that will make it really difficult to get to Salem for apostilles by then!) But.....if we do get our dossier there that first week of May, we're looking at our first trip being (are you ready for this....)

THE MIDDLE OF JUNE!!!!!!!

That is SOON folks!! My stomach dropped and Brandon turned white as a sheet when we realized that's only about 8 weeks away!!!

So, here's how you can help....first of all please pray! Pray that we'll be able to do all we need to do in this time frame, which includes my end of the year school concert and art show/sale. Second of all - we need about $7,000 before this trip. Our fundraising has been going pretty well - and we have several events coming up. We appreciate ALL donations. (big or small! They all help!!) Please share our story (blog, Facebook page, Reece's Rainbow FSP, anything!) with all of your friends and family!!

Local friends, be sure to mark your calendars for a couple of local fundraisers!!
  • Saturday, May 19th - we will be having a garage sale! We need (good) stuff!!! Please contact me if you have donations for the garage sale (or if you'd like to help!)
  • Saturday, June 9th - Applebee's Pancake Breakfast fundraiser!! We'll need people to help as servers, to bus tables, paint faces, and sell tickets prior to the event! Again, please contact me if you're able to help with this!!

We appreciate your support SO much - we're slowly working on thank you notes for all those who have donated/helped us out so far! Thanks for helping us bring our sweet girls home!! We can't wait to tell them all about each and every one of you who has helped!!
