Gotcha Day!!!!

So sorry to leave you all hanging!! :)  Yesterday was pretty crazy and busy - and by the time evening rolled around, I couldn't keep my eyes open to get this blog written!! :) 

So yesterday was Gotcha Day! :) And it went really well! Our girls are pretty amazing - and we were very happy with how well they did yesterday.  We had a few moments where they were sad or frustrated -but overall it went smoothly.  Today they are even happier and napping (currently) - so mom is happy. :) 

Our day started out with picking up our court decree and then heading out to get Dasha. She was ready to go! :) We got her changed and headed on out the doors. She didn't even look back. Waved goodbye to her caregivers and off she went! 

After that we hopped in the car -for her very first car ride!!  She was SO excited about every little thing!!!  She was well behaved and loved looking out the windows. 

Once we got to the baby house it was a special moment for Dasha as well as us. You see that was her former baby house. She had been there until she was 4 years old. Her former caregivers were there and able to see her again and love on her and see how much she had grown. I loved that they got that moment with her AND on the day she was going home with her forever family! :)  

Emily's caregivers got her dressed for us. And then it was out the door and into the car.  No walking out the door pictures with her - we just hurried out to the car. :) She was wide eyed and not sure what was going on!!!

The girls were intrigued by each other and Emily won Dasha over by licking her hand. :)

From there we went back to the apartment for lunch, nap and then we had to get their passport photos in the afternoon.  This is a mishmash of pictures from the afternoon and evening. :)  The girls are waking up - so I can't give you the run down on all of them!!  Hopefully I'll be able to update more tonight once they're asleep about today!!!!
