Quick update!

Posted by Jennifer at 6:59 PM
Things continue to move right along - quickly!!  We started the process to order our visas to travel to the girls' country this week, and they will be valid starting June 16th!!!!  That means, we could travel as early as June 16th!!!!!!  (That is our travel goal!)  We will be getting our preliminary dossier apostilled next Friday and over-nighting it to our agency that day.  She will get it off to the staff in country asap to begin translation and get us submitted to the Ministry of Education.

The other thing that happened this week....well actually just today....we got our letters with our appointments for Biometric Fingerprints from USCIS!!!  Our date is Monday, May 7th!!!  I know that others have tried to walk in early after they get their letter - but we hardly have time to do that if we wanted....that's only 11 days away!!

I will be honest... I am THRILLED that things are moving quickly, but I'm nervous too!!!  We have a LOT of money yet to raise/save and not as much time as we thought we would!  We are SO thankful to everyone who has contributed so far - and mostly just ask for your prayers!!  We have many on-going opportunities to help - and a few local fundraisers going on in the next few weeks as well.

Just a quick reminder of those fundraising opportunities....

We are Amazon Associates!!  Make your Amazon purchases through our link and we will earn 8% on your purchase!!

We have sold 921 puzzle pieces so far!!!  Only 579 to go!!!  Be sure to get your puzzle piece - by contributing to our ChipIn!!!

We will soon have access to our Reece's Rainbow Funds!!  These donations are tax deductible.

Local friends.....

Saturday, May 12th - Thirty One Gifts Party Fundraiser at my house - details to come!

Saturday, May 19th - Garage Sale Extravaganza!!!  We could use some help to coordinate the sale and we need your GOOD STUFF to sell!!!!  We'll also have root beer floats and goodies for sale that day!!  Spread the word!!!

Saturday, June 9th - Applebee's Pancake Breakfast!!  We are meeting with the manager from Applebee's tomorrow - so we will have more details soon, but we could use some help with serving, taking tickets, selling tickets and that kind of thing!!  Let me know if you can help!!

So that's the news for now....can you believe we'll be holding these girls in our arms before long?!?!

Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things?
“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

“And don’t be concerned about what to eat and what to drink. Don’t worry about such things. These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers all over the world, but your Father already knows your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.

“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. -Luke 12: 22-32

Thank you God for Your reminder that You care for us more than anything - and will continue to provide. Continuing to trust in You in all we do....

Things are moving fast! Getting stuff apostilled was a super easy process for us, so I hope it is for you as well. We ordered some stuff on Amazon this week and used your link. Also gave a little through Reece's Rainbow. :)

Keep on keepin' on!
