I'm kind of on a roll featuring children from my girls' region - so I think I'll just stick with it!! I have to say, I'm a little partial to this region. :) Truly we have been very pleased with the partner agency in this region. The city is beautiful (we can't wait to see it in person!!) And maybe it's because I think our girls are absolutely beautiful...but the kids in this region just seem to be EXTRA adorable! ;) Our adoption is moving smoothly and fairly quickly by international adoption standards. (We are just now reaching 5 months since we committed to Emilie and getting ready to make our first trip!) So, if you're considering adopting - I urge you to check out Region 9!! :)
Now, to the real point of this post!! Penelope!!
Isn't she so precious??? Little Penelope is just a few months older than our Emilie. She is 19 months old. Penelope has down syndrome, ventricular septum defect and hydronephrosis. (swelling/backup of the kidneys)
What a treasure to be able to adopt her so young, and get her home quickly! She will absolutely thrive once home, with proper medical care.
Penelope very well could be in the same baby house as our Emilie, and given their closeness in age might be in the same groupa. I like to think about these two little girls growing up as friends - but Emilie will be home with her family before long, Penelope deserves the same!!
Because I like to tug at your heartstrings with cute baby pictures....here are a couple more pictures of Penelope! How can you resist that little face? :)
Are you her family? Wouldn't you just love to cuddle that sweet little girl? And show her the love she deserves?
Please consider sharing this post, and getting Penelope's picture out there. I know her family is waiting for her!! Penelope currently has $1045 in her Reece's Rainbow grant fund!! That's a great start, especially for such a little one!! :) Penelope deserves the love of a family - will you help me find her one??
